In 1924 the daymark was 100 years old and a jubilee celebration was held. The 15th of August 1924 a notice about the jubilee was published in the Österbottniska Posten newspaper. During the 1920s the church arranged celebrations and excursions on the isle. The photograph depicts a summer party, and is likely from the same era as the 100-year jubilee of the daymark.

On Soklothällan, all that remains of the pilot cabin ”Högbackastugan”, built in 1876 are the foundations. The cabin has been moved to Hästskäret. Farthest to the right is the ”Röupotten” where fishing equipment was dyed and weatherproofed up until the early 1950s.
”Hovrätten” has apparently recently been demolished as the foundational stones and some of the timber remains on the ground. The photograph from 1952-1953 is taken from the viewpoint of the daymark, facing south.

During the late 20th century the daymark started to decay. In the summer of 2000 new boards were installed and painted in the original colours: A black ”cap”, white ”blouse”, and red ”skirt”.
The renovation was executed by Rolf West from Bergö. Some of the old boards were used in the renovation of buildings on the isle.

The newest pilot station was built in 1912 northwest of the the harbour. It replaced the earlier pilot cabin from 1876.
The pilot Frans Högbacka bought the previous cabin, hence the name ”Högbackastugan” (i.e. the Högbacka cabin).
As the pilotage was russified in 1912, the first pilots in the new station were russians, instated in 1913. In the summer of 1918 the local pilots were reinstated. The station was painted yellow in 1937. In front of the cabin are pilots Johannes Wikström and Herman Sämskär. The photograph is captured ca. 1935.

Soklothällan functioned as a pilot station from 1773. In general, the pilots were local men.
In 1945 the last pilots Eskil Hellén, Erik Lönnroth, and Erik Sämskar were transferred to Mässkär pilot station, but the final ship to be piloted from Soklothällan to Mässkär was Westkust – a motor-driven sailboat. This was in 1954, which also is the year piloting formally ceased on Soklothällan.
In the photograph from the late 1930s is pilot Johannes Wikström in uniform with the captain of the ship.
